Four filter families, all metal mesh: **band pass (BPF)** for isolating one line, **band stop (BSF)** for rejecting one, **low pass (LPF)** for cutting everything above a frequency, and **high pass (HPF)** for cutting everything below it. Peak transmission is above 70 % and typically better than 90 %.
Centre frequency is held to within 5 % as standard and can be specified to better than 1 %; bandwidth is under 30 % as standard and can be narrowed below 1 %. Clear apertures run to 150 mm. Anything outside the standard range is made to order — tell us the frequency, the width and the aperture you need.
Every curve in the figures below is a measurement, not a model. The low-pass data was taken on a Perkin-Elmer FTIR spectrometer with each sample scan ratioed against its own open-beam reference; where a second trace appears above the filter curve, that is the reference.

- ▸ Filter designations below are nominal. The measured cut-off of a mesh filter sits a little above the name it is sold under; both numbers are given so there is no ambiguity.
